The purpose of my site is to enable me to share my photos with our friends and family. It seems we know so many people located all over the world, and this makes it easy for me to combine my love of photography and computers, and be able to share what's going on in our lives with our friends and loved-ones.

Head in the Clouds - This is my first real competition print, although the print itself wasn't done as I'd submitted it to the lab. Big disappointment! I entered it anyway, but didn't win anything. More disappointment!!! But I think it's gorgeous and I did overhear some very favorable things said about it. I'm having it reprinted the way I intended it to be. The photo was taken on my first "solo" ride with my pilot-son, Patrick.
I'm famous, again (haha!) - I won a photo contest at KVUE-TV for the month of June!! Below is my winning entry!!
May 25, 2006 - WOW!!! I took my first right-seat flight with just Patrick! No instructor or second pilot, just him and me!!! It was awesome, and I was SO proud!!! I made a slideshow with some of the photos I took that day. We flew from Daytona to Titusville, FL with another pilot who flew that leg. They had to fix and ferry back another plane that needed a part installed in Titusville. The other pilot flew that plane back to Daytona, and I rode with Patrick in the other plane. I can't believe how calm I was! I wasn't nervous for one moment!!

November 12, 2005 - Went to the drag races at San Antonio Raceway near Seguin. Ah, the smell of burning rubber!
November 11, 2005 - Birthday celebration for Sean and I at Carmelo's in downtown Austin.
November 4, 2005 - I went to Dallas to visit my sister Bunnye and to see her newest granddaughter, Haley, and to find out that Haley's mom, Rebecca, is pregnant again!!! Man! Bunnye will be grandmother for the third time already!!! Her daughter Sarah was there with her baby, Lillie, so I got to take lots of pictures of them.

August 1-3, 2003 - Oklahoma - Trip Down Memory Lane
Our trip to see Mike's hometown. I took the pictures, and he reminisced about his youth! We took this trip almost 2 years ago, but we only just now got the chance to sit down and label the photos! We hope to make another trip up that way soon.
April 5, 2005 - Haley Jean Amicarelli arrives!!! Well, she's done it again!!! Bunnye is a Grandma once more!! Her and Paul's second granddaughter was born to their daughter, Rebecca, and Anthony Amicarelli!
August 19, 2004 - Lillian Glen Walters arrives!!! Yep, Bunnye is a Grandma now, and boy, am I jealous! J Lillie is the daughter of Sarah and Drew Walters.

August 13-15, 2004 - Marble Falls Drag Boat Races, part deux. We saw another incredible display of raw horse power on our second trip to the races! Saw one top fuel boat almost catch on fire (I caught it on video and will post later), and another one in a smaller category completely came apart during a race (now posted). The driver wasn't hurt but the boat was left in pieces no bigger than a dinner plate! (All photos now up!)

My Newest ADDICTION (Summer, 2004): Round Rock Express Double-A Minor League Baseball!!! We got season tickets this year since we're so close to the stadium, and we sure picked a dandy of a season to start going to the games! In April, they won 10 games in a row and tied the club's winning streak record. But as of 5-30-04, they have won 12 in a row and pulled off a few miracles to achieve that milestone! We were at the game when they broke the club record with their 11th win on 5-29-04 with a 2-out, 1-on base, 3-2 count, bottom of the 9th homerun blast into left field! It was just incredible!!!!!!!! Of course, I've taken my camera to the games, and I was lucky to get a photo of the player when he hit that homer! I also did my darnedest to get the team to hire me as their stadium photographer and/or to help them with their website (what photos are there are sorely out of date) but I struck out (pun intended!). I even submitted over 100 photos FOR FREE to them after their media person promised to use them in their "Fanzone" Photo Gallery but what few photos are there, none are mine. Oh, well! I tried!!!

... And then there were three ...
March 8, 2004 -- Sadly, I had to have our mama-cat put to sleep this day. She had developed severe heart disease and she was slowly going down hill. Over the weekend, it became apparent that her time had come. I put her out on the back patio one more time so she could enjoy the sun (see photo), then I drove her to our former vet where we used to live. Mike met me there, and afterwards, we laid her to rest by our dog, Sugar, where some friends of ours have a small pet cemetery. It was so sad, but I know she's happy now in the Big Catbox in the Sky. So we're down to three ... we have her son Snoopie, and two dogs. So Rest in Peace, old girl ...
