"Blizzard" of '03
The "Blizzard" of '03 hit our area last night (02/24/03). Everything is iced over and the thought of Texans driving on ice is a scary one indeed! I've seen plenty of funny things just looking out my front window ... kids going down the street with sleds, garbage can lids, and laundry baskets!!! Texas Sledding at its best! Some idiot-parent actually let his kid out on a dirt bike. He rode around here for hours. At least he had a helmet on. Sean had to leave in our pickup truck earlier today, which was parked on the street. Our driveway is sloped, and he ended up sliding all the way down to the street on his knees!!! AND holding a pitcher of warm water to melt the ice on the windshield!!!! It was hilarious, but he didn't spill a drop. Talented, that boy is! Don't worry ... me and my Yukon didn't go anywhere!!!

"Me big brave Texan. Have huge Hummer. Drive anywhere. Sign of TRUE MAN! Get out of my way!"

Here's a rare sight. Look closely and you'll see a Texan scraping ice off his driveway. This was garbage day and this fool actually put his on the curb!
(This was a Tuesday ... next garbage pick up was on Friday. And in case you're wondering, YES, he DID leave it there until then!!!)
