The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mildred McIver of Gatesville, Virginia Buth of Waco, the late Ray Byrom, the late Pete McIver, the late Viola Buth of Gatesville, and the late Raymond Buth of Waco. She is a graduate of Gatesville High School and Texas A&M University, and is a teacher and coach at Nolan Middle School, Killeen. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mary E. Buehring and the late Walter J. Buehring of Sugar Land, and Gene E. Gustin and the late Lou Ila Poteet of Holdenville, Oklahoma. He is a graduate of Whitney High School and UTI, Houston.
