Whitney Twister
These are photos I took of a tornado while standing in our former office's parking lot in Whitney, Texas on May 12, 2000. This F-3 tornado formed over Lake Whitney around 5:12 p.m. The swirling mass at the base of the funnel in some of the pictures is water being pulled up out of the lake. Several of these pictures were shown on three different television stations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and were featured on Waco's Channel 25 website. I have officially achieved 15 seconds of fame!!! :-)
