Chinati Foundation
Friday, December 14, 2001 - Not the highlight of our trip, but was mildly amusing ... If you're ever in the area, skip it, unless you're really into this kind of thing! Actually, the most interesting part of the exhibit were the buildings themselves and their history. They dated from World War II, and some were used to house German prisoners of war (I didn't know there ever were German POWs in the United States). Also, the construction methods used then were interesting (note the picture of the ceiling below and the wood imprints in the cement).
(UPDATE: On August 3, 2002, I received an email regarding my personal opinion of this "exhibit." To read it and my response, click here.) <---Back to "Story"
